While most of us were enjoying the holidays and sharing time with family and friends, there were others whose lifesaving work kept going - and just never stopped.

One such group of superheroes who stepped up for sweet souls in need was Rescued Pets Are Wonderful (RPAW) in Blaine, MN. Take a look at their Facebook page and you'll see how busy they've been.

We first learned about RPAW in 2017 when they were a BOGO beneficiary, and since then, they and their wonderful followers have continually lived the mission of Project Blue Collar. Whenever we've had our Giving TWOsday or ValentTWOsday campaigns, RPAW is always in the top 3 who've reaped the most from our give back.

We are so moved by their compassion that it seems only fitting to invite this group of underdog supporters to be our first BOGO beneficiary of 2019!

We asked them what Project Blue Collar means to RPAW and how they've used their donated collars and leashes, and director Liz Gigler responded:

RPAW has been using PBC for a few years now and we absolutely love the products! The buckle collars are great for our small breed dogs and the martingale style are exactly what we need for our larger dogs and those that aren't well leash trained and may have a tendency to back out of a regular collar. Martingales are expensive to purchase as often as we use them and now that we are about to be gifted them so frequently is an amazing opportunity! We send each of our dogs home with their collar so we are always in need of new ones. And now that the no slip harnesses are available, PBC offers everything we need! The best part though? They just happen to be the same colors as our logo!
